Green Glue Soundproofing

Green Glue is a water based damping compound used to soundproof walls, floors and ceilings. It is conveniently installed between sheets of standard drywall, plywood, subflooring, plaster and other building materials. Much less expensive than other damping products yet Green Glue yields lab-proven superior results. Very easy, very effective and very reliable.

The Soundproofing Company offers Green Glue in two options. For smaller residential jobs we offer Green Glue in the 29oz tubes. Available by case with 12 tubes per case.

For larger commercial jobs we offer our proprietary Speedload Dispensing System. This allows contractors to dispense bulk Green Glue from 5 gallon pails quickly and efficiently. This is perfect for large jobs because it reduces the cost of Green Glue per square foot, and reduces the waste associated with empty tubes.

• For my $0.02 the greenglue makes an unreal difference especially if you are already going with 2 layers of drywall. I can hear someone walking above me in the theater room (1 layer of drywall, R-19 (I think) in the ceiling). Move to my son and daughter's rooms and my wife can practically stomp with heels on upstairs and I can only discern a small thump – barely. Amazing difference.

• My drywall contractor foreman never used Green Glue and the crew didn’t even speak English. The supplied pictures of how to apply it made perfect sense and I had full confidence once I watched them do the first couple of sheets. The foreman worked between the two piles of drywall and had two two-man crews apply the GG while they were hanging the sheets. One crew would measure and cut the sheet and then he would apply while the other crew was hanging their sheet. He just kept going back and forth. They were actually getting ahead of him and had to wait a couple of times. Very impressed with the results. Works at least as well as advertised
